• The Lead Administrator, IT Operations Center is responsible for the direct supervision of the local OC Administration team, supervising and ensuring the proper monitoring of Gildan’s global data centers, systems, services, infrastructure, software applications, data backups, and batch schedules. The Lead Administrator will ensure that systems and applications are operating as expected, while also providing guidance for the creation of new and improved monitoring services. This person should have in depth technical knowledge and understanding of Gildan’s IT infrastructure, applications, and services, allowing them to facilitate training and simplify the understanding of business unit processes and their interdependencies.  They will lead the team to take corrective actions and provide appropriate communication when necessary. In addition to this role, the Lead Administrator will support Gildan’s Global employees that are based in Bangladesh, assisting with communication and guidance between local employees and their functional supervisors to ensure regional/global alignment.

   

  The Roles

   

  • Supervise the team daily, ensuring proper monitoring and troubleshooting processes are followed.   Supervise and ensure the healthy execution of IT processes, services, and procedures, including but not limited to, infrastructure, background services, software applications, cloud services, all data backups execution, and batch schedules. 
  • Ensure escalation of unresolved incidents/issues to appropriate IT teams and clearly communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Supervise daily operations for backup systems, offsite tape transfers. UPS systems, global TC’s and data centers, including auxiliary equipment.  Implement and maintain accurate documentation of operations and provide regular updates to IT operations-based policies and procedures.  Ensure KPI information for Root Cause Analysis and P1/P2 dashboards are updated in a timely manner, and ensure detailed information is obtained from the application and/or service owners to provide beneficial technical root cause information.  
  • Develop the team, transfer knowledge, and create any required documentation: (manual, resource, guidelines, SOP or any other required documentation), and supervise and/or lead on site trainings as required. Ensure the OC monitoring tools are consistently checked and verified to be up to date and accurate
  • Across all IT functions in the Dhaka office, assist supervisors in other geographies align Dhaka office employees’ priorities with global needs. Supervise Dhaka office Global IT employee compliance, punctuality, shifts, workdays, proper Holliday exchange, overtimes, transportation needs, recognition events, alignment with HR, vacation days balance, and make sure the Global IT employees are considered in all Gildan activities in Bangladesh. 

   

  The Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual 100% Spanish/ English
  • 10 years of experience, 5 in NOC activities.
