IT Manager is responsible for IT service delivery at all Gildan Manufacturing facilities in Honduras (owned or contracted), in order to achieve the company’s strategy.  This includes responsibility for staffing, supervising and mentoring IT personnel supporting 24x7 business critical applications in Textile, Sewing, Hosiery, Garment Dyeing, DCs and auxiliary facilities.  These responsibilities include MES onsite assistance, applications, infrastructure and plant’s end-user support.  The Honduras IT Manager works in close coordination with Mfg and Global functional leads of each IT function and is the main connection between Honduras plant locations and the global IT team.  The IT Manager builds and maintains relationships with Plant and Functional Managers.  This position is responsible for identifying technology opportunities. 

The Roles

• Ensure the operation of IT services at each facility in Honduras—including both Gildan-owned sites and contractor facilities. This encompasses telecommunications services; server, network, and internal connectivity infrastructure; critical production-floor applications (JDE, DC-Link); cloud-based office productivity services; and various applications used in daily operations. 
• Support proper execution and functionality of installed Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), supporting MES Admin in the maintenance, standardization and optimization initiatives and projects.  Lead contact with MES suppliers and warrant the existence of and compliance with SLAs.  Any improvement will be deployed to all Gildan manufacturing countries
• Interaction with other functional areas as Maintenance department, to guarantee the provision of IT services with a continues power energy availability to IT infrastructure, an internal IT Generator must exist per facility. Following up and supervision of the completion of the IT generator programmed maintenance plan is a must.
• Close relation with Local procurement & Global IT Procurement department to follow up all procurement process to purchase IT equipment, hire & renew IT services contracts, identify saving opportunities, activate IT services for new facilities
• IT equipment inventory management across all manufacturing plants in Honduras.Coordinate with assigned IT personnel to schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance (e.g., computers for critical production processes, computers for critical users, label printers, scanning terminals, etc.).Maintain an up-to-date inventory of assigned IT equipment per facility and ensure proper utilization of warranties.

• Management of investment in new IT Project and IT equipment renewal budgetsCollaborating on the preparation of investment budgets for IT server infrastructure, telecom, fiber optics & cabling infrastructure and electronic security systems

• Also managing IT operating budgets for the new and/or renewal of IT equipment such as computers, scanners, terminals, label printers, and security cameras
• Identify opportunities within manufacturing facilities in Honduras.Find technology and process solutions for them. These solutions must be aligned to Gildan's IT policies and procedures. Must be documented to show the proposal to IT Global team including information related to infrastructure, architecture, licensing, estimated budget, a pilot plan to evaluate the initiative.

• Lead local activities in partnership with IT Global team functions, for projects and initiatives.  
  Deployment of global solutions or any software or new technology in any of the facilities, including the implementation of a new manufacturing facility/operation, involving the planning, coordination, and oversight of the delivery of IT services, as well as critical and end-user applications, for the new site. 

The Requirements

• Education: Systems Engineer or equivalent, with experience in Support and Mfg.
• Experience: Approximately 10 years of Customer Service with different org. level.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Best utilization of limited team resources vs needs involving different priorities and diverse stakeholders. Responsiveness and proactivity with little or almost no information .
• Decision-Making: Prioritization management / Team resources allocation. 
• Long- and Short-term solutions implementation for an identified opportunity.
• Bilingual 100% English-Spanish.
